Adam Michael O’Shea is an Irish actor and tenor from Waterford, celebrated for his versatility and presence on stage and screen. A graduate of the London Studio Centre, Adam was honoured with the prestigious Sheila O’Neill Award for Most Outstanding All-Around Student, joining the ranks of past recipients such as Luke Evans and Elizabeth Hurley.
Adam has built a distinguished career in theatre, performing leading and featured roles across the UK, Ireland, and the USA. He starred in the multi-award-winning musical Kinky Boots and toured Europe in productions of Cabaret and Oklahoma!. In 2025, he is set to appear as Gaston in Dublin’s Civic Theatre production of Beauty & the Beast. Along the way, he has shared the stage with international stars including Kelly Clarkson and David Gray.
While widely recognized for his musical talent, Adam is actively pursuing a career as an actor and is aspiring to explore a wide range of roles on stage and screen. He is motivated to take on challenging characters that allow him to expand his craft, grow as a performer, and bring authenticity, depth, and nuance to every role.
Adam's versatility extends to his work as a recording artist. As one half of the vocal duo The Púcas, they released the charity single, "Christmas in Galway”, produced by renowned Irish producer Mark Cahill at The Ivory Studios, Slane. The song was met with critical acclaim in the media, earning features in both Hot Press Magazine and the RTÉ Entertainment Guide. Its success was a testament to its broad appeal, receiving radio play internationally, from New York to London, and extensively in Ireland on stations like Today FM and RTÉ Lyric FM, including a feature on Marty in the Morning. A finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, the single was highlighted alongside Grammy-shortlisted artists and received a letter of support from the Office of the President of Ireland. All proceeds from the single were donated to the Galway Hospice Foundation.
Adam has spent the past three years touring internationally as a lead vocalist with The Celtic Harps, winners of Best New International Irish Group (Celtic Music Awards),with notable television appearances on The Voice UK and PBS America’s Ireland with Michael.
From intimate performances to large-scale productions, Adam captivates audiences with his compelling presence, emotional depth, and deep commitment to storytelling, while actively pursuing his aspirations as an actor and continuing to draw on his musical talent to enhance every performance.
